We arrange all meals & tours. Transport is for your own arrangement and account.

Day 1

Fort Nongqayi

11h00 Arrive in Mtunzini
11h00 Walk in the mangroves (bring an extra change of clothes because it is muddy!)
13h00 Barge trip and braai (soft drinks for sale) on the beach
18h00 Travel to Eshowe
19h00 Supper at George Hotel. Traditional Zulu Stories around the campfire.
20h30 Sleep at Eshowe Eco-Centre.

Day 2

Craft Group

07h00 Breakfast at The George Hotel.
08h00 Organised tour of the Dlinza Forest Aerial Boardwalk
10h45 Guided tour of Fort Nonqgayi –Zululand Historical Museum, Vukani Basket and Craft Collection, and Norwegian Missionary Museum.
12h00 Lunch under the Fig tree at The Fort.
14h00. Tour of “New Venture Citrus Packhouse” in Nkwalini Valley.
15h00 Shakaland. Nandi Experience.
20h00 Return to Eshowe Eco-Centre.

Day 3

Mbongolwane Reed Gatherer

07h00 Breakfast at Eshowe Eco-Centre
08h00 Depart for Mbongolwane Wetland (40 minutes by bus from Eshowe)
See the Catholic Mission
Visit the Thubaleth' elihle Craft Centre
View DWAF's Working for Water erosion control site
Be shown around a community garden
Walk across a suspension bridge in the wetland
Sugar Cane farming in Zululand. Small Grower and large estate.
13h00 Packed lunch.
14h00 Depart home.
